Madera County is a county of California, located in the Central Valley north of Fresno County. As of the 2000 census the population was 123,109. The racial makeup of the county is 62.23% White, 4.12% Black or African American, 2.61% Native American, 1.27% Asian, 0.17% Pacific Islander, 24.35% from other races, and 5.25% from two or more races. 44.28% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
